Summer 2009 Greetings House of Gordon members,
I hope you are all having a great 2009 and enjoying whatever little good summer weather we have had to date.
It is time to renew your House of Gordon membership (our year runs from 1 August). You will find attached a renewal application, I ask that you return it with your renewal payment as soon as possible.
We will be upgrading our web site this year and ask any of you who have information on the "Gordon's" that we could put it on the website we would appreciate it. If there is interest, we may add a "blog" to it as well. www.houseofgordoncanada.net
We will be holding this year's AGM at the Fergus Highland Games (Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 2 P.M.), we will be electing a new executive for the "House of Gordon - Canada" also setting the date and location for next years AGM.
I know it is difficult for many of you to attend since our members are scattered across Canada but we would love to hear from you please email me...
We could use coordinators to represent the House of Gordon at any local Scottish event. This would not be an onerous task and within your abilities and time, especially if you are already attending. Please think about it and let us know what is happening Scottish wise in you area.
"Homecoming Scotland 2009" is well underway in Scotland where there are numerous events to attract Scots back home. See link for their latest newsletter www.visitscotland.com. If you should be attending this event, please send us any "Gordon" related photo's for the website.
Please all have a safe and happy summer, go out and enjoy a Highland Games near you, and keep our Scottish Heritage alive.
